Customer engagement is about listening to the views of and working closely with the people receiving our services. We must then ensure we respond to that engagement and make changes to deliver the services customers need.

As a customer, you can make a vital contribution to Derby Homes by helping shape how we deliver our services.
Being actively engaged in something is hugely beneficial. You'll gain confidence, useful skills and experience, meet new people and gain contacts. Some of the roles that need a little more commitment also have a social element to them and can even be fun. Many engaged tenants are already included in a range of events and activities, held by both Derby Homes and in the wider community.

Don’t worry. We work closely with partners such as Community Action Derby who can offer you advice, support and free training to increase your confidence and skills.
Trainings they offer cover topics such as:
- Introduction to managing a group
- Managing your group money
- Introduction to fundraising
