Please confirm your attendance at:
Volunteer Celebration Event
As part of National Volunteers Week 2018, Derby Homes are holding our third annual Volunteer Celebration Event! All volunteers are invited to join us on:
St. Martin’s Community Centre (Methodist Church) in Allenton
We will be celebrating the hard work and energy that volunteers from Derby Homes and our partner organisations bring to the projects they run.
There will be live entertainment and food. Please confirm your attendance using the contacting details on the right-hand side of the page.
Volunteer Celebration Awards
As part of the celebration, we will be holding the Volunteer Celebration Awards. We want you to nominate anyone who you think has made a real difference in your community. If you know someone who volunteers at Derby Homes, within our community rooms, or for one of our partner organisations and you think they go above and beyond, we want to hear from you!
There are five categories:
New Volunteer of the Year
This person is a new volunteer and has exceeded what would normally be expected of them, demonstrating their outstanding committment and enthusiasm to their role.
Long-standing Commitment Award
Someone who has shown exceptional commitment and dedication to volunteering for at least 5 years.
Outstanding Contribution Award
Someone who has made a significant contribution as a volunteer. This award focuses on a specific role that a person has undertaken for an event or project.
This person has helped to improve their community or provided support to community groups.
This award is intended to recognise the commitment of a group or organisation and the excellent contributions they deliver within the community and voluntary sector.
To make a nomination, just write why you think they deserve to win. As a guide, write around 500 words or more if you can, but no more than 1000 (about a page). The winners for each category will be decided by a panel made up of Mike Ainsley (Chairman of Derby Homes), Maria Murphy (Derby Homes' Managing Director) and Bob MacDonald (Chair of the Operational Board).
The closing date for entries is Friday May 18th 2018. Click the button to submit your entry. Alternatively, you can email your nomination to email@example.com, or post it to
839 London Road
If you nominate someone, please be aware that we would like them to try and attend the celebration event on June 1st. Don’t forget to let them know!
